Renovated from a townhouse dating back to the Taisho era, this establishment opened in April 2024. Inside the store, which extends deep like a traditional “unagi no nedoko” layout, approximately 500 carefully selected picture books are displayed, creating the feeling of stepping into the world of the books themselves. At the back, there is a café space where guests can relax while enjoying views of the small courtyard, making it possible to unwind with a picture book in hand. Regularly scheduled readings and workshops provide opportunities to discover new dimensions of the world of picture books. When you need assistance selecting a book, our staff is available to provide thoughtful recommendations. It is a soothing space where not only children but also adults can reconnect with their inner child.
