Echizen City has long been prosperous in chrysanthemum cultivation, and in the Edo period, a culture of loving chrysanthemums had taken root, including holding exhibitions. Manyo Chrysanthemum Garden carries on this chrysanthemum culture, serving as a floral and green oasis where visitors can observe the cultivation of traditional chrysanthemums such as “Senringiku” and “Kengai-giku,” which are exhibited at the annual “Takefu Chrysanthemum Doll Exhibition” held from early October to early November. Inside the garden, there are many highlights, including a flower park where seasonal flowers bloom in abundance and a glass greenhouse where visitors can observe tropical plants. In addition, exhibitions and plant-related events are held from time to time, making it an enjoyable space for both children and adults.
