Mikawaya is a Kyoto-style machiya-style building located in a corner of 「Kura-no-Tsuji」, one of the popular spots in Echizen City. The cozy and relaxed restaurant has a private room that can accommodate up to four people.
The restaurant promotes local production for local consumption and offers dishes using rice produced in Echizen City and livestock products from the city, sashimi using local products caught that day, and local brand vegetables such as summer tomatoes 「Benishikibu」 and autumn cucumbers 「Midorishikibu」. In addition to beer and locally brewed sake, the restaurant always offers more than five types of wine, including sparkling wines, and wine parties are also held.
