Established in Taisho 13 (1924), the long-established Japanese confectionery shop “Kizuya” is dedicated to high-quality domestic ingredients and continues the traditional confectionery-making techniques passed down through generations into the present day.
The “Brandy Cake,” cherished for over 30 years for its refined taste, was even offered to Meiji Shrine.
Recently, they have been applying traditional Japanese confectionery techniques to Western sweets, taking on the challenge of creating new confections loved by a wide range of age groups.
Among them, the “Premium Anpan,” which they started making in 2020, uses the same smooth red bean paste as their Japanese fresh confections.
It often sells out, so reservations are required.
