Anyone can try their hand at papermaking without reservations. The experience takes about 20 to 40 minutes, and the staff provides detailed explanations on everything from basic knowledge of washi to the papermaking process. While being taught traditional techniques, participants can create their own original washi paper designs using pressed flowers, cut paper, colored water, etc., and take their creations home as souvenirs. In addition, many Echizen Washi goods are sold at local prices according to the season and events.
