Zenkonzan Kobo-ji Temple is a temple of the Shingon Kokubunji sect located in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. Founded in 1946, it is a relatively new temple located adjacent to the eastern side of Murasaki Shikibu Park. The principal object of worship is Kobo Daishi, and the temple offers services such as memorial rites for mizuko, prayers for protection from misfortune, and personal consultations, responding to a wide range of people’s wishes. The temple grounds offer a quiet and calming atmosphere, and visitors can also take part in the Shikoku 88 Temple sand pilgrimage. Zenkonzan Kobo-ji Temple also offers Dharma talks for groups. After a prayer service that includes chanting the Heart Sutra accompanied by taiko drumming, we offer an engaging Dharma talk that incorporates song (advance reservation required). The temple also hosts a variety of events throughout the year and is well loved by the local community.
