Founded in 1946, Ryozo Yanase Paper Mills produces handmade washi products under the motto “washi that blends into everyday life." In particular, we specialize in washi paper used for packaging traditional Japanese sweets found throughout the country, offering a wide variety of patterns and designs. In addition, we also handle washi made using the traditional Echizen washi technique of using a metal mold to make the paper, such as “Kanagata rakusui-shi,” and our products are characterized by their overall transparency and gentle atmosphere.
