A gallery store where Echizen hammered blades from various workshops, mainly from Yamakken Woodworks, established in 1912, which has been manufacturing mainly kitchen knife handles, are gathered together. Because Yamakken Wood Works is highly regarded in Japan and abroad for its quality, including the development of unique patented technology and design, visitors can experience a new way of looking at knives, with the “handle” at the center of the experience. We also offer workshops where you can make your own original kitchen knives under the guidance of a maki-e artist, so why don't you make your own one-of-a-kind kitchen knife?
